System Engineer – Defense Company | North

One of our clients in the north is looking for an System Engineer

Description:

A leading defense company is seeking a System Engineer for a significant technical-management role. This position includes managing activities with subcontractors, leading cross-team engineering tasks, and working with advanced operational systems.

The role involves translating requirements between customers and development teams, supporting specification processes, system integration, and leading the integration of multidisciplinary solutions – with an emphasis on software systems and a strong understanding of interfaces with complex platforms such as radars, communication systems, and embedded systems on aerial platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Translating operational needs into system and engineering requirements

Close collaboration with clients, development teams, and subcontractors

Managing and leading technical activities with internal and external stakeholders

Integrating software elements and basic hardware components within complex systems

Joining the System Engineering team, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning

Requirements:

B.Sc. in Software Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Information Systems or a related field

Previous experience as a System Engineer, Integration Engineer, or Software Developer in complex systems

Proven experience with software systems – mandatory

Strong system-level understanding and the ability to see the big picture

Background in working with defense systems – significant advantage

Experience managing subcontractor activities – an advantage

Fast learner, proactive, and strong team player
