About the job:

The editorial assistant will report to the managing editor and carry out tasks that keep the department running smoothly, including helping out with digital and print publishing processes and coordinating team members' activities as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing magazine feature articles
  • Writing and editing small news articles, book reviews and podcast descriptions
  • Writing a regular blog for LinkedIn
  • Researching information for upcoming stories and analyses
  • Researching topics for social media posting
  • Serving as a backup for various department members
  • Transcribing interviews and podcasts as needed
  • Uploading content to the website
  • Coordinating with members of the editorial team to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Finding images and other supplementary materials for news and feature articles
  • Liaising with other Rapaport teams, including marketing and sales
  • Providing support for current and future editorial projects, including Rapaport Magazine, the Rapaport Research Report, podcasts, videos, newsletters and social media

Requirements:

  • Spoken and written English at mother-tongue level
  • Previous published articles or feature stories
  • Experience in a journalistic environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative setting, but also to work independently
  • High-level organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven project-management experience
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Preferable: Experience with WordPress, Microsoft SharePoint, Hubspot and InDesign
  • Knowledge of the diamond and jewelry industry a plus

This is a full-time hybrid position, with operations based in Ramat Gan, Israel.
