Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel Vectorious Medical Technologies Ltd Full time $125,000 - $175,000 per year

Vectorious has developed the world's first in-heart microcomputer and is on a mission to transform heart failure treatment. As part of our first in-human clinical study, we have successfully implanted our sensory device in patients across Europe, while demonstrating a huge potential in helping millions of people living with heart failure to take control and manage their disease. As an increasingly growing company we've been accepted to FDA's prestige Breakthrough Device Designation program.

Now, we are looking for a talented Director of Device Physics to join our R&D team.

What will you do?

  • Develop a deep, practical understanding of the Vectorious-LAP system operation, performance, and reliability across manufacturing (including calibration), storage, shipping, and patient use — including abnormal and fault conditions.
  • Apply analytical, numerical, and hands-on experimental methods to study and predict system, material, and microelectronics behavior under normal, extreme, and fault scenarios.
  • Build, verify, and optimize multi-physics models (mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluidic, materials, and microelectronics packaging); perform sensitivity, parametric, and reliability analyses to guide design decisions based on JEDEC/MIL/ISO and medical standards.
  • Define and refine requirements for systems, sub-systems, components, materials, and microelectronics wiring and packaging based on modeling and direct experimental work.
  • Assess the impact of material properties, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and microelectronics packaging choices on device performance and long-term reliability.
  • Design and execute experiments in the lab, analyze data, summarize findings, and generate clear technical reports.
  • Conduct component/sub-system/material/microelectronics testing, in-vitro/in-vivo correlation, and advanced feasibility studies.
  • Plan and perform reliability programs (e.g., aging, HALT/HASS), develop reliability models, and propose design improvements.
  • Support failure analysis and root cause investigations, including material and microelectronics-related degradation and failure modes, through hands-on lab work.
  • Lead and mentor a team of experimental engineers and simulation specialists, setting priorities, reviewing work, and fostering collaboration between modeling, experimental, and microelectronics engineering efforts.
