Role Description
The role involves managing and monitoring a large-scale, complex project to establish a new financial activity, with an emphasis on defining and implementing a core banking system in a SaaS model. The position requires ensuring goal achievement, organizing monitoring and planning processes, managing risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including foreign vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Monitoring
- Develop, manage, and update the project work plan.
- Track schedules, budgets, and key milestones.
- Generate regular monitoring reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Coordination Across Teams
- Work with technology solution providers, including foreign SaaS system vendors.
- Coordinate between specification, development, implementation, and testing teams.
- Manage interfaces with regulatory bodies, such as the Bank of Israel.
Risk Management
- Identify and manage operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
- Develop backup plans and ensure business continuity.
Work with Foreign Vendors
- Manage ongoing relationships with vendors.
- Oversee contracts, monitor delivery, and control service quality.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document processes, including technical, functional, and integration specifications.
- Prepare performance and progress reports, as well as updated work plans.
- Provide follow-up task summaries.
Project Management Tools
- Utilize project management software such as Jira, , and similar tools.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee QA processes and system implementation.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field – required.
- Master's degree – an advantage.
Professional Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience as a PMO in large, complex projects – required.
- Experience in the financial or banking sector – required.
- Experience working with foreign vendors – required.
- Familiarity with SaaS contract models, including vendor management and cloud solution implementation.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and
- In-depth understanding of core banking systems and SaaS platforms.
Languages:
- Full proficiency in English (writing, speaking, reading) – required.
