About us
Visual Layer, now part of Camtek, is building its AI Software center in Tel Aviv. Visual Layer's core engine understands visual data at scale: it finds duplicates, outliers, mislabels, and anomalies across millions of images without manual tagging. Camtek builds inspection and metrology systems for the semiconductor industry. Together, we are bringing state-of-the-art AI software products into high-volume industrial inspection. The research team is small and senior: PhDs and published researchers working next to fast, production-minded engineers. We build, and we ship. The role We are looking for a Senior Algorithm Developer to research, develop, and implement advanced Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms for large-scale visual data analysis and industrial inspection. You will work closely with a senior research team, taking algorithms from initial research and experimentation through to production. Why Join Us? Work on cutting-edge AI and Computer Vision technologies, alongside an experienced research team, combining a startup environment with the stability of a global semiconductor company. Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Computer Vision algorithm development.
• Strong theoretical background in Deep Learning, linear algebra, probability, and optimization.
• Excellent Python and PyTorch skills.
• Experience designing, training, evaluating, and optimizing Deep Learning models.
• Proven ability to take algorithms from research to practical implementation.
• Independent, research-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills. Advantages:
• Experience with Anomaly Detection, Image Retrieval, Self-Supervised Learning, or Representation Learning.
• Experience in semiconductor, industrial, or medical imaging.
• Publications at leading conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, or ICML.
• Experience with C++ / CUDA and model optimization.
• Experience with Vision-Language Models (VLMs).
• Experience bringing research algorithms into production.
