About the Company
We are an early-stage, still-in-stealth team building an AI platform that gives organizations control of their AI through specialized models that are faster, more cost-efficient, and more secure than one-size-fits-all alternatives, and that customers can own and run on their own terms. If you are passionate about reliable infrastructure, platform automation, and building the foundation of the modern AI stack, we would love to talk. Role Overview We are looking for Applied AI Researchers to turn research advances into measurable improvements in model quality, inference performance, and agentic workflows. You will identify bottlenecks, select and adapt promising methods, run experiments, and build working implementations. Your work will span models, inference engines, compute, and application harnesses, depending on your expertise. This is a hands-on research role. You will own the path from an initial hypothesis to a validated improvement under real workload constraints. We welcome candidates from talented students to senior and principal researchers. Core Responsibilities
• Model Adaptation: Apply mid-training, post-training, distillation, and reinforcement learning to improve models for specific workloads.
• Efficient Inference: Implement and evaluate quantization, pruning, speculative decoding, and structured generation.
• Systems Optimization: Improve serving engines, GPU kernels, KV cache management, routing, and resource allocation.
• Agent Optimization: Profile execution loops and improve model selection, tool use, and inference calls.
• Evaluation & Production: Build experiments and benchmarks that measure quality, latency, throughput, and cost. Work with engineering to bring validated improvements into production. Your focus will cover one or more of these areas; expertise across all of them is not required. Requirements
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent research and engineering experience. Candidates pursuing a degree are welcome.
• Strong experience in at least one relevant area, with evidence of implementing and evaluating research ideas.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Ability to design sound experiments, understand tradeoffs, and debug model or system behavior. Preferred Qualifications
• Research publications.
• Open-source contributions.
• Experience deploying research in production.
