Tel-Aviv District, Israel Xpend Full-time
About Xpend Marketing We build and operate high-scale automation platforms for performance marketing and iGaming operations. Our infrastructure powers multi-source ad operations, autonomous AI agent fleets, large-scale browser automation, and messaging platform integrations. We are a lean, fast-moving team with real production systems shipping code daily. If you thrive on high velocity, end-to-end autonomy, and seeing your code touch production immediately, you will feel right at home here. The Role We are looking for an AI engineer with at least 3 years of professional software development experience who thrives on complete project ownership. You will not just close tickets. You will own systems end-to-end, including architecting the backend, building the UI, setting up cloud infrastructure, handling production operations, and iterating based on real-world usage. You will work across diverse projects, such as ad operations automation, messaging platform automation (Telegram/WhatsApp), and LLM translation engines. What You’ll Do
• Own Systems End-to-End: Drive projects from technical scoping and architecture through implementation, deployment, and ongoing production operations.
• Build Full-Stack Applications: Develop robust Python backends (FastAPI, async PostgreSQL) and modern UIs (React, Next.js, TypeScript).
• Agent Data & Infrastructure: Build and operate the data pipelines, retrieval systems, and infrastructure behind the team’s multi-agent workflows (LangGraph, LangChain) across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models, ensuring agents run reliably, scale efficiently, and are fully observable.
• Agentic Bot Integrations: Deploy agentic frameworks as autonomous, human-like bots across messaging and external platforms (Telegram, WhatsApp, ad and tracking platforms),with persistent memory, consistent personas, and natural conversational behavior at scale.
• Build & Deploy on AWS: Build and run cloud-native AI infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions CI/CD for scalable, automated, and reproducible deployments.
• Cross-Functional Analytics & Optimization: Work closely with marketing and customer service teams to build analytical dashboards and deliver insights that optimize their operations. Core Tech Stack You do not need to know every single tool on day one, but you should have strong fundamentals in modern web development, deep familiarity with AI, cloud infrastructure, and a drive to learn quickly.
• Backend: Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy (async), Pydantic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery / Task Queues
• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Query / Table
• AI & Automation: LangGraph, LangChain, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), agent evaluation frameworks, Playwright, Selenium
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, EC2, SES, S3, boto3), Docker, GCP, Cloudflare Workers, PostgreSQL, Snowflake / Redshift, k8s, Terraform
• CI/CD & Observability: GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, CloudWatch Requirements
• 3+ Years of Engineering

Experience:
Proven hands-on track record building, deploying, and maintaining production systems, with a focus on backend, data, or infrastructure.
• Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, including designing, deploying, and scaling cloud-native workloads.
• Git Proficiency: Proficient with Git workflows, code reviews, and structured commit patterns in high-velocity teams.
• Data & Databases: Solid experience with SQL, data modeling, and building reliable data pipelines across relational databases and cloud data warehouses.
• LLM Systems Understanding: A general understanding of how LLM-based systems work, including models, prompting, retrieval, and agent workflows, and the infrastructure needed to support them.
• Full-Stack, End-to-End Ownership: We’re looking for builders who take full ownership of systems from start to finish, often from scratch. You’re comfortable working across the stack, from backend services and APIs to databases and frontend interfaces, and you drive everything from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and production edge cases.
• Self-Directed Communicator & Collaborator: Comfortable taking ambiguous goals, breaking them into actionable plans, and delivering results independently. Clear, proactive communication is essential in our horizontal team, where you’ll work closely with several team, translating their business needs into engineering deliveries. What will make you stand out
• Marketing & Ad Operations: Familiarity with performance marketing, ad operations, or iGaming domains, including experience integrating with third-party ad platforms or messaging APIs.
• LLMs & Agentic Frameworks: A strong understanding of LLMs and agentic frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain, with hands-on experience building, orchestrating, or evaluating AI agents.
• Data Pipelines & ETL: Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes, particularly with Snowflake. Domain Context Note before applying: Our core focus includes performance marketing and iGaming operations. Much of our work involves large-scale, automated platform operations (multi-account workflows and human-like browser automation). If you enjoy solving tricky automation and scaling challenges in complex domains, this role will be a great fit.
