Job Overview

The Assistant Controller role plays a vital part in the day-to-day operations of our accounting department.

This position supports ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations. The successful candidate will oversee general accounting, manage monthly close processes, prepare tax reporting, and assist in financial statement preparation and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.

• Perform variance analysis and support budget preparation and forecasting.

• Collaborate with external auditors to provide documentation and answer questions.

• Assist in implementing new accounting standards and system upgrades or changes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

• 4+ years of experience in accounting.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
