High-Tech Mechanisms Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our HW group.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design, including precision mechanisms, pneumatic systems, opto-mechanical design, vibration isolation, cooling systems, clean-air and flow design, and electronic packaging.

This role will involve generating innovative designs, performing tolerance analysis, GD&T, error budgeting, managing the flow up and down of requirements and design, and contributing to product development throughout all phases until its release.

• Designing and developing complex mechanical systems and components for high-tech applications.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets functional and performance requirements.

• Performing finite element analysis, modal analysis, thermal analysis, and flow analysis to validate design.

• Providing support for customer concerns, investigations, and malfunction of new designs.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design in an R&D environment.

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks is an advantage).

• Experience with FEA tools, such as ANSYS or SW simulation.

• Strong understanding of physics, mechanics, and materials science.

• Knowledge of precision mechanics design, including opto-mechanics, motorized systems and pneumatics.

• Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication and welding.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work efficiently under stress on multiple tasks.

• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
