Software Engineer - VLSI CAD Tools

NVIDIA is seeking a talented software engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about software engineering and interested in VLSI Backend CAD tools.

Job Description:

This is an enriching student position that will allow you to gain invaluable experience by learning from experienced engineers and contributing to the development of top-quality CAD tools and flows for our Backend team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to the chip development team, focusing on software development of EDA tools and scripts.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems.
  • Participate in various stages of tool and flows development, including Web frontend and backend development, UI design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Develop innovative software solutions and practices through collaboration with DA teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years remaining in the study program.
  • Strong analytical, creative, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • OOP knowledge, particularly in Python.
  • A teammate with a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.

Others:

  • Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms, particularly those related to Graph Theory.
  • Experience with GUI design or web application development (React).
  • Prior exposure to SQL, Linux operating system, or programming languages such as C++, Tcl, Python, or other scripting languages like Perl and Shell is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with VLSI technology.
