The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to own and scale JobTestPrep's presence across all social channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, Reddit). You'll be responsible for crafting thumb-stopping content that educates, entertains, and converts job seekers, while building a loyal, engaged community of test-takers and career climbers.

Your success will be measured by engagement, reach, community growth, and organic traffic to JobTestPrep's domains. This is a role for someone who is obsessed with why content works, not just what is posted.

Description and requirements

Key Responsibilities

Organic Strategy & Content Execution:

· Develop and Execute Strategy: Define and lead a comprehensive organic social media strategy across key platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) that aligns with brand goals of increasing awareness and driving traffic to our PrepPacks and resources.

· Content Calendar Management: Plan, create, and manage a daily/weekly content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of educational, engaging, and highly shareable content (e.g., career tips, test prep myth-busting, short-form video, infographics).

· Create Platform-Native Content: Become our expert in short-form video (Reels/TikTok), carousels, infographics, and memes, tailoring content to the unique best practices of each platform.

· AI Integration: Utilize AI tools (e.g., prompt engineering for content ideas, image generation, copy refinement) to streamline the content production process and increase output efficiency.

· Paid Media Content Support: Film and edit high-quality, authentic UGC style videos designed specifically for the paid media team to use in direct response campaigns.

· Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Content, SEO, and Product teams to repurpose high-performing blog/simulator content into engaging social snippets.

Community Engagement

· Community Management: Actively monitor all social channels, serving as the primary, professional, and friendly point of contact for the JobTestPrep community.

· Foster Engagement: Respond quickly and professionally to all comments, questions, and direct messages, identifying opportunities to turn questions into engaging content ideas.

· Niche Growth: Moderate and grow specialized communities (e.g., r/psychometric, LinkedIn Groups) and run interactive sessions like polls, Q&As, and live chats.

Reporting & Optimization

· Organic Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key organic metrics (Follower Growth Rate, Engagement Rate, Reach, Impressions) to understand and prove community value.

· Content Optimization: Use organic performance data to continually iterate and refine the content strategy. Implement A/B tests for formats, captions, and posting times, providing clear monthly insights

Qualifications

· Experience: 2+ years of professional experience managing social media accounts for a brand, with a demonstrable track record of significant organic growth (e.g., portfolio with before/after metrics is highly valued).

· Content Mastery: Expert in short-form video (TikTok/Reels) and visual storytelling, with basic proficiency in video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Canva).

· Paid/UGC Experience: Proven ability to create engaging, authentic UGC-style video content that drives action, specifically for paid advertising/direct response.

· AI & Efficiency Tools: Demonstrated practical experience using AI tools to enhance and speed up social media content creation workflows.

· Platform-Specific Knowledge: Deep, current working knowledge of how organic algorithms function across major platforms (especially LinkedIn and Meta) and the specific best practices for each.

· Excellent Communication: Superior copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to maintain the brand's helpful, expert, and professional voice. Native-level English is a must.

· Analytical Skills: Proven ability to use native platform analytics to measure and explain organic performance without reliance on paid campaign data.

· Tech Stack Fluency: Comfortable with social analytics, Google Analytics (GA4), and community platforms (e.g., Reddit).

· Zero Ego: Willingness to test content formats that may be unconventional if the data suggests it will resonate and convert the target job seeker audience.

· Obsessed with Data: A constant curiosity about why content performs and a comfortable approach to a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment.
