Orca AI is seeking a motivated and experienced BDR Team Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the shipping industry and driving the adoption of intelligent navigation solutions across the global maritime ecosystem.

Our mission is to reduce human-caused errors through intelligent, automated navigation systems that prevent collisions, save lives, and transform how ships operate in congested waterways and open seas.

What will you do?

  • Lead and mentor a global team of 2-4 BDRs to consistently meet and exceed qualified opportunity quotas.
  • Do hands-on outreach: Own SQL quota and personally engage with prospects to model best practices in outreach and qualification.
  • Develop and optimize the outbound strategy — including messaging, prospecting tactics, and market segmentation.
  • Coach and support team members through regular one-on-ones, call reviews, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to align outbound efforts with go-to-market priorities and campaign goals.
  • Analyze and report on key performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and pipeline acceleration opportunities.
  • Refine playbooks and workflows in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay current on industry trends and product updates to ensure your team can communicate Orca AI's value proposition effectively.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of B2B SaaS experience, including 1–2 years in a team lead or senior BDR/SDR role.
  • Proven track record of building or scaling a successful outbound sales team.
  • Hands-on experience with sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft).
  • Strong understanding of pipeline metrics, forecasting, and sales operations.
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and RevOps.
  • High energy, data-driven, and passionate about helping others succeed.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) — additional languages are a plus.
