The Opportunity
We're looking for our first Head of Sales to spearhead our U.S. go-to-market strategy.
This isn't a "sit back and manage" role - from day one you'll be a hands-on AE, running the full sales cycle, while also laying the foundations for Celery's sales organization. You'll sell side by side with the CEO, closing deals in the trenches, and then scale and lead the sales team you've built.
This is a rare mix of hands-on execution and leadership impact: you'll shape Celery's entire commercial strategy while directly driving revenue.
Responsibilities & Impact
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Generate opportunities, run demos, negotiate, and close deals.
- Playbook Creation: Define and execute Celery's U.S. go-to-market strategy and sales playbook.
- Pipeline Leadership: Build and manage the sales pipeline, driving deals personally while mentoring others.
- Team Building: Hire, coach, and lead the sales team as we scale.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing to accelerate demand generation.
- External Representation: Represent Celery at industry events and conferences (~quarterly).
- Revenue Accountability: Own revenue targets and deliver measurable growth.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on SaaS B2B sales experience (closing mid-market/enterprise deals), plus 3+ years of experience managing and scaling sales teams.
- Startup experience.
- Native/near-native English with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- High-energy, target-driven, and thrives in ambiguity.
- Availability for evening calls with U.S. prospects.
- Ability to travel as needed (mainly U.S. conferences).
