About the Role

  As a Product Innovation Manager at ScaleJet, you will be responsible for leading the development and improvement of our product portfolio. This role focuses on product design, quality assurance, and technical collaboration with manufacturers to create exceptional products that meet market demands.

  While familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Amazon FBA is a plus, the primary focus will be on engineering and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  

  • New Product Development:
  1. Research and develop innovative product concepts based on market trends, customer needs, and brand strategies.
  2. Translate product ideas into detailed technical specifications, including materials, dimensions, performance requirements, and packaging.
  3. Collaborate with the sourcing team to evaluate manufacturers, ensuring their capability to meet design and quality standards.
  4. Oversee the prototyping and testing of new products, providing technical direction for refinements.

  

  • Existing Product Quality & Improvement:
  1. Analyze performance and feedback on existing products to identify opportunities for design or quality improvements.
  2. Work with manufacturers to implement design revisions, material upgrades, or packaging changes.
  3. Ensure all updated products meet regional compliance and safety standards across markets (US, EU, UK, CA).

  

  • Technical Collaboration & Compliance:
  1. Partner with suppliers to ensure manufacturing processes meet the company's quality standards.
  2. Conduct audits and inspections of production facilities when needed.
  3. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and certifications.

Requirements

  

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product development or engineering, ideally within consumer goods or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience with CAD software or other product design tools.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Amazon FBA is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
