We're hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) on behalf of our client Anecdotes, a dynamic B-round startup founded in June 2020, who's revolutionizing the Compliance Automation landscape for hyper-growth companies. At the heart of their mission is the belief that credible, visible, and actionable data should empower every GRC team's decision-making.
Imagine a world where enterprises seamlessly collect and standardize data from hundreds of SaaS tools, cloud infrastructures, private networks, databases, and more. Anecdotes brings that vision to life, providing continuous, real-time visibility into their Security Compliance posture.
We're looking for a result-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) based in the Southwest region: Colorado, Arizona, or Utah to join Anecdotes' Marketing team.
As a BDR, you'll play a major role in driving the growth of the customer base by generating leads and creating opportunities for the sales team.

The Role
As a Business Development Representative at Anecdotes, you will be at the forefront of the company's growth strategy. Your role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities and driving the adoption of their security and compliance solutions.
Working remotely, you will connect with potential clients across North America, playing a key role in expanding Anecdotes' market presence and fostering lasting partnerships.
Responsibilities
• Proactively identify and engage with potential clients through digital platforms, leveraging communication and negotiation skills
• Articulate the unique value proposition of Anecdotes' solutions, tailoring your approach to diverse business needs
• Execute and refine outreach strategies to generate leads and expand the customer base within the B2B sector
• Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align outreach efforts and maximize conversion rates
• Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends and the competitive landscape in the security and compliance domain
• Utilize CRM and Sales Engagement platforms efficiently to track, manage, and report on sales activities and progress
• Nurture relationships with potential clients through consistent follow-up and personalized engagement
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes by providing insights gained from client interactions
Requirements:
• Based in Colorado, Arizona, or Utah, and able to work standard business hours
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and negotiation, particularly through digital channels
• Proven track record of B2B sales experience within a SaaS startup environment
• Ability to quickly grasp and convey the benefits and features of security and compliance solutions
• Familiarity with the security and compliance domain (ideally with awareness of GRC compliance)
• Hands-on experience with CRM and Sales Engagement platforms such as Outreach, Hubspot, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, etc.
• Process- and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
• Self-disciplined and focused, able to manage daily workload in a remote, distributed team
• Team player with a can-do attitude, high level of organization, and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation
Total compensation: $90,000 OTE annually, including base salary and performance-based bonus.
